Graphite crucibles are widely used for melting non‑ferrous metals, mainly copper and aluminum alloys. The characteristics and applications of graphite crucibles are briefly introduced below.

Featuring a well‑optimized design, graphite furnaces have undergone continuous conceptual innovation and adopted new materials. Tests show that their energy consumption is lower than that of comparable furnaces. Graphite furnaces serve a variety of purposes and generate little polluting waste. Powered by clean energy fuels such as natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas, they produce low levels of pollution. Graphite crucibles for mobile furnaces are primarily used to melt gold, silver and rare metals, while ceramic crucibles are applied for melting platinum, gold and rare metals.

Graphite crucibles have a low coefficient of thermal expansion and resist deformation caused by heat and cold. They are also resistant to acids and alkalis, and can be deployed in a wide range of fluid‑heating applications. For these reasons, graphite plates are extensively utilized and well‑regarded in the metallurgical, foundry, mechanical and chemical industries.

Beyond the aforementioned applications, graphite crucibles are also employed in vacuum furnaces. They greatly simplify the design and manufacturing of vacuum furnaces, cut the consumption of metals including tungsten, molybdenum and stainless steel, reduce costs, and deliver high‑vacuum performance, thermal conductivity, safety and reliability.
